How We Work Together
Project Consultancy is an independent company that has been appointed by Blackwell to be your first point of contact. We will talk to you about your publications, the specifications for printing and their distribution profile. From this information we can provide you with an estimated cost for printing and distributing your publication from Singapore.
If this looks good then we will visit you to talk in more detail about your specific needs, for example:
- Paper selection
- Approach to quality assurance
- Your specific service level requirements
- Warehousing
At this first meeting we can also talk in detail about how the process operates, where your operation will interface and what information you can receive. This meeting is also to ensure that we have your complete requirements.
From this information we will produce a firm price for you within a detailed proposal.
This proposal will be created by working closely with Blackwell Offshore Publishing Solutions (BOPS). Once this proposal is acceptable to you, meetings between Project Consultancy, BOPS and you will take place. Discussions about the contract and service level agreement will be between you and Blackwell as will the final contract.
Implementation
Once the arrangement is agreed then we will move onto implementation. This may require any or all of the following steps:
- PDF checking to ensure its suitability
- Checking of your name and address files
- Setting up your print and delivery schedules in the systems
- Providing you with access to these systems
- Agreeing on the reports you will receive and in which format
- Running through the whole process to ensure its operation prior to going live.
Brook Project Consultancy will work closely with you during implementation to ensure that these steps are completed successfully. This service is included in the BOPS print and distribution package you will be purchasing and, provided you or your typesetter can upload PDF files to an FTP site and you hold your subscriber list in a common format, carries no extra charge.
